His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, welcomed Prof. Saad bin Turkey Al-Khathlan from Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic College on the 7^th of Rabīʿ Al-Awwal as part of the Scholarship Visitation Program organized by the Intellectual Awareness Unit. After meeting with the rector, Prof. Al-Khathlan held an open discussion with university students in the Faculty of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion. The discussion was attended by Faculty of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion Dean, Dr. Mohammad bin Zafer Al-Shehri, and a number of college deans, vice deans, and university faculty members.

In the meeting, Prof. Al-Khathlan spoke about the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in spreading Islamic awareness and the concepts of moderation, balance and the prevention of extremism. Prof. Al-Khathlan answered questions regarding Islamic finance. Deputy Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, Dr. Misfer bin Ahmed Al-Wadie, explained that Prof. Al-Khathlan's visit is part of the university's intellectual awareness programs that are keen on enhancing intellectual security through programs, workshops, discussion, and visits. At the end of his remarks, he thanked Prof. Al-Khathlan for his visit and noble efforts.
