The Saudi scientific teacher committee (JSM) held its fifth meeting on Monday the 4^th of Rabi Al-Awwal at the main campus. The program was titled 'The Future of Leadership in Schools'. This is one in a multi-part series of educational sessions created in collaboration with the Training and Scholarship Administration of the Asir region. The purpose of this session was to review recent developments in education as related to the objectives set forth in Vision 2030.

The program was presented by esteemed educator Dr. Ali bin Nasser Shatwi. The session attracted 124 public educators from the Asir region. In this session, he focused on leadership development theory and the characteristics/requirements of effective leadership in education and academia.

It is noteworthy that for the first time the JSM is conducting certain activities under the supervision of King Khalid University. Faculty of Education of Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Kasi, has assumed the leadership of this project and has established several worthy objectives and an aggressive yet achievable plan to accomplish same.

The program aims to foster and strengthen the professional relationships between and among its members and stakeholders. Professional development by way of research studies, scientific/technical meetings and general educational seminars will be done in a collaborative environment.
