The Intellectual Awareness Unit in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Senior Scholars hosted Sheikh Abdullah Mohammed Al-Khanin as part of the visiting scholar initiative program on the 29^th of Safar. His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, personally welcomed senior scholar Sheikh Al-Khanin in a reception at his office.

After meeting with Rector Al-Solamy, Sheikh Al-Khanin traveled to the College of Science and Arts Theater in Mohayil to deliver his much-anticipated lecture. The lecture began with an exchange of greetings and gratitude. Sheikh Al-Khanin continued by praising Allah and advising the audience on the true path of Islam through the Holy Quran and Sunnah. Islam is the religion of peace and moderation, and we are elevated to a high status for that reason, he explained. Among the many verses discussed, Sheikh Al-Khanin highlighted Al-Baqarah 2:143. In this verse, Allah instructs us to follow the middle path in practicing our faith, "And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you...Merciful".

At the end of the lecture, Sheikh Al-Khanin answered questions from the audience in the presence of General Supervisor of the Tehama Campuses, Dr. Ahmed Ateef Al-Shehri, Dean of the College of Arts and Science in Mohayil, Dr. Ibrahim Qaid, and Dean of the Community College, Dr. Ahmed Al-Amir.
