Her Royal Highness Princess Moudhi bint Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Southern Female Charity Association, sponsored the Introductory Meeting at the Southern Charity Association for Female Faculty and Staff. On her arrival, Vice Rector Dr. Kholud Abu Melha and a group of deans and vice deans met and welcomed Her Royal Highness.

On this occasion, HRH Princess Moudhi bint Khalid said: "I am happy to be with my daughters today and to talk to them about the benefit of nonprofit work and the value of charity and the impact it has on the development of our society. I have worked with charities in the Kingdom for more than 40 years. I started working with associations when I was 18, and I was fortunate that I had relatives working in this field that sparked my interest in it. My work in this field expanded my perception as a young woman, and I learned the true meaning of systematic giving, which added a lot to my understanding of human needs and communities." Her Royal Highness then explained that charitable organizations provide promising and decent work opportunities for Saudi youth. The average wage of the non-profit sector professions starts at 5,300 SAR, which is better than the private sector which offers of 4,400 SAR, according to the 2018 KFH Non-Profit Sector Reports of this year.

Her Royal Highness, then explained that the non-profit sector is considered to be the most balanced sector in the employment of both sexes, and the participation of women in this sector is 43%, which exceeds the total participation rate of women in the labor market at only 14%. Her Royal Highness then encouraged the contribution of females in this field of work describing them as the future and hope our country invests in, noting that donations, volunteer work, and initiatives have a great impact on the communities we live in and on the social role we play in the development of our society.

Vice Rector of Student Affairs, Dr. Kholoud Abu Melha, delivered a speech in which she said: "On this happy day, King Khalid University and its employees are honored to receive the premier charitable work leader in the Kingdom, Her Royal Highness Princess Moudhi Bint Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. We are proud that our university bears the name of one of the founders of our beloved country, King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who gave everyone the right of education, and the opportunity to be part of human development and the creation of a leading society."

Abu Melha stressed that our beloved country continues on the hands of the sons of our country’s leaders, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRM King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman. They provide undivided attention to charitable and nonprofit work inside the Kingdom. Additionally, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid Relief Center is a leading international charity worldwide receiving notable recognition.

At the end of the meeting, Her Royal Highness Princess Moudhi presented a commemorative memorial shield to King Khalid University and received one as well from the university by the vice rector for student affairs.
