Sponsored by His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, the Public Relations Administration at King Khalid University and the Faculty Affairs Administration organized 'Hyakum', an orientation day for new faculty members on the 21st of Muharram 1449 AH.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rector Al-Solamy welcomed the new faculty members and expressed his joy on holding the meeting. "I appreciate the faculty joining us and hope they will add to the value of the university. King Khalid University has taken great interest in the development of programs, study plans, college structures, departments, scientific research, and community service," said Al-Solamy.

Rector Al-Solamy related that we are currently formulating a clear identity in scientific research that will leverage distinguished researchers in numerous colleges alongside the skill sets of new faculty members. He encouraged all faculty to devote their expertise in teaching, research and community service to achieve our vision and goals.

Dean of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Hamed Al-Beheiry, thanked the Rector Al-Solamy for his attendance and support. He then welcomed the new faculty members and attendees, noting that the Deanship of Faculty Affairs is the gateway for faculty members into the community. "The presence of the great minds among us qualifies our university as one of the best institutions in the Kingdom, which allows us to serve our community and develop and improve our capabilities," said Al-Beheiry. Afterward, he urged new faculty members to take advantage of the opportunities and resources provided by the university and to serve the university and community they belong to.

At the end of the meeting, new faculty members were introduced to the mission, vision, and goals of the university, as well as the university’s colleges, departments, achievements, and awards. The meeting also included introductory workshops on the databases, platforms, e-learning systems, health services, community services, and social programs.
