His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, signed the initiation phase of the South Electricity Station Conversion Project in Al-Faraa University City, which will boast a capacity of 1500 MW, a cost of 426 million, and a 29-month project delivery time.

Vice Rector of University Projects, Dr. Ahmed Abu Daham, explained that the South Electricity Conversion Station would serve the medical city, the housing units, and future projects in the city and neighboring locations.

Vice Rector Abu Daham added that the station would boost the production of the electricity and energy system in the region, while also supporting the Northern Station, noting that the signing of the project is considered a great addition to not only the university but also the region.
