His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, King Khalid University Rector, launched the Arhebo Initiative in the presence of the university vice rector of academic development and quality, the vice rector of postgraduate studies and scientific research, the dean of community service and continuous education, and General Saleh Alqarazi, General Director of the Asir Police.

The initiative aims to welcome international and domestic tourists to the region by expressing hospitality and introducing the region's culture.

The ceremony was opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a speech delivered by His Excellency Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, Vice Rector of the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, who explained that the Arhebo Initiative is a community-based effort that will create lasting memories by introducing the region’s culture and landmarks through a team of 30 volunteers in public parks, festivals, events, and malls.

Vice Rector Al-Shahrani also thanked Rector Al-Solamy for his continued support, the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education, the volunteer team, and the Asir Police for all of the efforts and hard work.
