Registration for Summer School Computer Programming Program Bootcamp Begins

King Khalid University, represented by the College of Computer Science, opened the doors to registration for the 6-week summer school programming course which is scheduled to begin on the 10th of Shawwal and end on the 20th of Duhl Qadah. This initiative is sponsored by the Takaful Foundation in cooperation with the Department of Computer Science at the Al-Samir Campus in Abha.

The Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Dr. Ali Al-Garawi, explained that the summer school programming course was specially developed for high school students. The program is intended to teach students coding during the vacation, which will spark students to begin programming, establish a basic foundation, and prepare them for computer courses when joining the University. Additionally, this program will allow the University to scout for exceptional computer talents and invest in students interested in software at an early stage.

He added that the University seeks to achieve its goals and actively contribute to the objectives of Vision 2030 and the 2020 National Transformation Program. He further related that this program underscores the commitment to the strategic plan of the University by creating a promising generation of talented programmers.
