Represented by the Intellectual Awareness Unit, King Khalid University launched the second edition of the Loyalty to Our Nation Program, which aims to contribute towards creating a healthy and positive way of thinking among members of the society as well as encouraging ideal social values and discouraging dark, destructive thought.

This year's program features the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Fatwa and Scientific Research, His Excellency Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh, the Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance for the Holy Mosque, Dr. Tawfiq bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudairy, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Media Guidance, Dr. Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al-Eidi. Furthermore, Dr. Mohammed Al-Rabee from Najran University, Mr. Ahmed Asiri, a well-known writer, Dr. Ali Al-Afnan from King Saud University, and Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri from the Mohammed bin Nayef Center for Counseling and Care will participate.

It is worth mentioning that the Intellectual Awareness Unit aims to develop a healthy and positive way of thinking that fosters balanced reasoning among students leading to an enlightened approach to thought. The unit also seeks to educate students on the role of social media and communications networks in spreading rumors and the dangers that may be caused through these destructive channels. Given the importance of showing loyalty to the nation, the Intellectual Awareness Unit will also serve to build a robust, confident relationship between the society and government officials.
