University Foundation Day Celebration Comes to an End

King Khalid University, represented by the General Administration of Media and Relations, in cooperation with a number of university entities, concluded the founding day celebration, which included a number of  activities in the high city of Abha, during the period 22-24 February.

 

The closing ceremony included the foundation operetta, which was shown in the high city  theater, with the participation of a traditional music group. To conclude the activities  the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Media and Relations, Dr. Mufleh Al-Qahtani, and the General Supervisor of the General Departments of Information Technology and Cyber ​​Security, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saqr honored all the parties that contributed In organizing and hosting events.

 

The university's celebration comes as part of its efforts to participate in celebrating national occasion socially and among the community to  activate its role in enhancing its presence to reach all segments of our society. The program  included a meeting entitled “The Anniversary of the Founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia … a Promising Future” presented by Dr. Abeer Al-Muhaileb (Department of History, Faculty of Humanities) and Dr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi (Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering), which included a competitions and gifts for the attendees.

 

During its celebration of the founding day, the university was keen to organize its activities in a way that embodies pride in the Kingdom’s history and reflects the development it has witnessed over three centuries.  In addition the university is also keen  to provide  its services in accordance with the cultural and professional needs of the community that would achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

 

It is worth noting  that the university's pavilion in the high city was visited by large numbers of  visitors.
