University Council meeting
The 9th session of the University Council was held on Monday, 13/07/1435 AH for the academic year 1435/1436 at 9:00 o'clock a.m. The University President, Prof. Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Al- Dawood started the meeting by welcoming all the members of the Council praising those who have joined recently. He noted to His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education's directions to the Deans of faculties of the University of Bisha to constantly attend the University Councils.
Additionally, His Excellency besides the members of the Council appreciated the University workers' efforts to succeed the activities of the Scientific Research Day at the university, as well as the closing ceremony of Student Activities this year.
After that, the Secretary of the University Council, Dr. Hamoud Abu Zoheir listed 18 issues on the agenda of the meeting in order to take necessary actions. The Council agreed to grant 18 students the Master Degree, in addition to the appointment of 10 members on the rank of Assistant Professor in the colleges of the University ranging from appointment and transfer to the University from other universities.
In the field of scientific communication with international universities and research centers, Abu Zoheir explained that scientific sabbatical has been approved in the current academic year to each of Dr. Hamad Al-Dosari who will spend it in the United Kingdom, Dr. Ali Al-Mousa and Dr. Ahmad Taher who will spend the scientific sabbatical in the United States.
He clarified that the Council has agreed to let all of Dr. Ayed Al-Shahrani, Dr. Mefrah Asiri spend period of scientific communication in the United States, Dr. Amer al-Husseini in the United Kingdom, and the dispatch of Dr. Hussein Khalidi, Dr. Fahad Al -Omari to attend two courses in Canada and France, in addition to the extension of Dr. Mohammed Bin Mefareh's loan to the Ministry of Higher Education to work at the Cultural Attaché in Jordan for a year.
To take advantage of the experiences of faculty members, Abu Zoheir confirmed that the Councile approved a contract with Dr. Mohammed Al- Mezher to work at the university for a year, and the renewal of the contracts with a group of contractors for the same period. He indicated that the Council approved the next meeting, the tenth, on Monday 04 \ 08 \ 1435 AH.
