University embraces the Exhibition of (SABIC) Award for Innovation

The Vice - Presidency for Development and Quality of King Khalid University (KKU), represented by Talent and Creativity center, has received a delegation from Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) Company. The delegation held a small exhibition in the foyer of the university. The exhibition was held over two days in order to promote the idea of (SABIC) Award for Innovation, so as to stimulate the faculty members and the student to participate in the award.

SABIC Award for innovation is a creative contest, aimed at promoting innovation in plastic industry in the Kingdom. Participation in this contest is open to all those who are interested in creative thought. Those wishing to participate can provide new and innovative idea through the website of SABIC Company. The representatives of the Company stated that SABIC has allocated a sum of money for the pending winners - 10 million Saudi Riyals.

For his part, His Excellency the Vice - President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili, welcomed the Director of communication, Technology and Innovation of SABIC, Eng. Ali Omari, and his accompanying delegation. The Vice - President praised the idea of the award and appreciated the company's choice of King Khalid University to be a platform for introducing such an award, which cherishes creative thought in the region.

In his turn, the Vice - President of Talent and Creativity center, Dr. Mohammed Al-Maghrabi, explained thus, "The announcement of the award comes to portray the center's ongoing efforts to extract creative potentials of the employees of the university in order to be developed, to be looked after, and to be ready to participate in various competitions." Dr. Al-Maghrabi called on everyone to interact and participate in the Award.
