University Council Activates the Saudi Program for International Students

On Tuesday, the 6th of December, the King Khalid University Council held the fourth
meeting for the academic year 1444AH, in the presence of the Secretary-General of
the Universities Affairs Council, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh
accompanied by members of the University Council.

 

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research - Secretary of the
University Council - Prof. Hamid bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, explained that the council
discussed a number of topics and took the necessary recommendations. Al-Qarni,
added that among the most prominent recommendations taken by the Council was the
approval of forming a higher committee chaired by His Excellency the President of
the University to follow up and activate the Saudi program for international students
at the university. The Council also agreed to send, extend and attach a number of
teaching assistants and lecturers, appoint a number of university lecturers, assistant
professors, and associate professors, in addition to grant Masters and Ph.D. degrees to
a number of graduate students.

 

Further, the council approved the re-formation of the Deanship of Scientific Research
Council and the editorial board of the “Historical and Civilizational Studies Journal
for a period of two years, starting from the beginning of the fiscal year 2023. In
addition, the council also approved cooperation agreements between the university
and a number of agencies.
