University 8th Council Meeting
On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Prof. Hamad Al Sheikh, His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Sulami, chaired the eighth university council meeting for the 1442 Academic Year. The meeting was held virtually on Thursday, and was attended by the General Secretary of the Council of Universities Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al Saleh, and the university council members.
The Vice President of Postgraduate studies and Scientific Research, and Secretary of the University Council, Dr. Hamid bin Majdoo Al Qarni, explained that the council discussed a variety of topics, and approved the following :
- Three fee-based post graduate programs,
- Agreed on the registration dates for the summer semester for the year 1442Ah,
- Agreed on the restructuring of the College of Applied Medical Sciences by expanding its Nursing Department into a College.
In addition to discussing and approving a number of King Khalid University's self-resource accounts.
In the area of developing the university cadres, the council members approved scholarships for nine teaching assistants and lecturers, and assigned ten professors as assistant professors, in addition to giving the masters and doctoral degrees to 18 postgraduate students from the university.
