More than 60 students participating in University Talent Program

The Director of the Talent and Creativity Center in King Khalid University and the Head of the Talent Program, Dr. Zafer Bin Saeed Al-Hammad, reported that the number of participants in the 14th Summer Program for Talent reached 61 students in the medical, biological and engineering technology. The program is organized by the Talent and Creativity Center at King Khalid University in collaboration with the Foundation of King Abdul Aziz and his Men for Talent and Creativity.

Al-Hammad pointed out that, based on participants Preferences scientifically, they were divided into groups to work in laboratories and research projects, through a variety of scientific programs to explain vital, physical, chemical and medical phenomena and its scientific applications, as well as specialized workshops offered by a number of professional researchers.

He added that the program includes many sportive and diverse social activities, which develop the capacity of distinctive students and direct them towards the needs of the society and its developmental priorities, to provide an opportunity for them to discover their scientific fields, as well as the development of creative, finance, personal and social thinking skills, and to spread among them the spirit of teamwork, initiative and achievement.

He also explained that the program includes several field visits, meetings, trips, scientific and introductory competitions for a number of touristic sites, and development projects locations at University City at Al-Farah, which will add a spirit fun and interest to the program.

It is noteworthy that the activities of the program Summer Program for Talent began last Sunday, and holds over 19 days, under a direct auspices and guidance from the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al- Dawoud. It aimed at improve the students' cognitive levels in scientific, medical, biological, and engineering fields, and the technology of advanced materials (Science, Engineering and Environmental Systems), In addition to the skills and psychological and social aspects.
