A delegation from Vienna University visits University

King Khalid University, represented by the College of Human Sciences, hosted 21 student affiliated to the Institute of Oriental Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. The students were accompanied by the Head of the delegation, the Professor of Arabic Language at the Institute, Dr. Stefan Bouchsta, and four members of the faculty.

Upon its arrival to the Faculty of Humanities, The delegation visited a number of departments. They visited the Department of History, the Department of Arabic. The delegation also visited the University Central Library, and had a look on its divisions, and what it contains of books and ancient manuscripts.

In this regard, the Head of the Austrian delegation clarified that the visit is to consolidate the concept of the Arabic language among students belonging to the Master Degree. He said, "Our University is interested in the Arabic language, so we decided to visit King Khalid University, and take advantage of the huge potential, especially in the Arabic language."

He added, "During our visit, we are also looking forward to identifying the Southern dialects, popular tradition, in addition to the discovery of the buildings, and the popular games for the sons of the South".

It is noteworthy that the delegation, before leaving, visited the Literary Club in Abha, and the Asir National Museum, as well as the village of Muftaha, the Tuesday Market, and the village of Rijal Almae.
