Academician participates in reviewing e-courses in US universities

The faculty member at King Khalid University (KKU), the Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Amir Kessentini has participated, as a certified subject matter expert, in reviewing the content "Engineering Management Project" course in Ohio University, USA and "Fluid Mechanics Theory" course at the University of New Mexico, USA

The participation of Dr. Amir came after rehabilitating him in the field of electronic courses quality by the Deanship of e-learning at King Khalid University - the quality of e-courses Department, and after attending sessions and getting accreditation from the quality of the e-courses global Organization "QM" and after his active participation in the completion of the internal and formal review phase of some of the courses.

For his part, Dean of e-learning, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al Ahmari congratulated Faculty of Engineering and Dr. Amir Kessentini on this unprecedented achievement for King Khalid University in the field of electronic courses and its quality. Dr. Al Ahmari explained that the university had a head start in making a strategic partnership with the QM organization, which is one of the international organizations that concerned with the quality of e-courses. Hence, KKU is the first partner of the organization in the Middle East, among more than 950 leading educational institution in the world. On the other hand, KKU has sought to build its partnership with this organization because of its expertise and leadership in the field of electronic courses quality in the world. He said, "Due to this partnership, KKU has adopted standards that have been accredited by this organization, to be a basis for regulating the quality of e-courses at the university level" He added that the deanship through the adoption of this global standard is designed to enable the teaching staff to apply quality standards in the design of their electronic courses, to create and implement the process of adoption of the quality of e-courses, to measure the efficiency, effectiveness and customer satisfaction with regard to e-learning, to identify gaps and opportunities for development in the e-learning program,  and to present the right projects to fill the gaps, and take advantage of opportunities for improvement.  Dr. Al Ahmari pointed out that the unprecedented achievements of the deanship at the level of the Middle East universities are represented in 20 courses at the KKU getting merit seal from the QM organization.
