The University hosts the students of fifteenth summer program for talented

The Vice President of King Khalid University Prof. Murai Bin Hussein Al-Qahtani received, at the university headquarter in Abha, the students of the fifteenth summer program. The program is being held in the University in cooperation with the King Abdul Aziz and his Companions Center for the Gifted and Creativity , which will last a full month during the current summer period. The supervisor of the talent and creativity center in the university, Dr. Zafer Al Hammad explained that the program for this year had received 100 students from all over the Kingdom and he said, " the program activities will be presented in one month. During the program, all students will take part in a number of scientific programs and projects. These programs and projects will discuss various areas taking into account their interests, abilities and needs in the scientific development and the knowledge economy in order to push them to become one of the causes of the scientific and economic renaissance sought by those responsible for the education and development in our beloved country" From his side, the head of the program, Dr. Hamid Al Gharama clarified that "one of the program objectives for this year is to disseminate and preserve the principles of faith, security and moderation, in addition to reject extremism and fanaticism". Moreover, they aim at developing the sense of belonging to one nation and enriching scientific knowledge to students in a number of areas like, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Computer Science. This includes the participation of students in the implementation of planning workshops, scientific research and direct their attention to functional areas and the choice of future career as well as learning about the modern methods of learning. In the same regard, he added "we will carry out some visits to a number of university Colleges as well as civil and military governmental institutions that are interested in science and technology. It is notable that, the University has provided the program with scientific halls equipped with modern educational tools and computers. In addition to that, the University also has offered gym for students, organized tourist visits to the region and scientific visits, as well as providing daily meals and accommodation
