Rector gives the Governor of Asir a copy of the University documentary book.

The Rector of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, presented a copy of the King Khalid University documentary book to His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region. The book was released by the university in 200 pages. It documented what has already been achieved by the University, including all educational, scientific, and research areas, in addition to the services that have been provided since the reign of King Khalid - may God have mercy on him, on 26/08/1396 AH. The establishment of the branch of the Islamic University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud to become the first college in the region under the name of the Faculty of Sharia and the Arabic language till the recent era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud.

The event took place after the Iftar hosted by His Highness the Governor of Asir region, and attended by His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, and a number of owners of virtue, the judges, managers of government departments, and other officials in the region, in addition to a crowd of well wishers.

The book provides insights of the beginnings of the university and the start of Higher Education in Asir region, its the expansion, its Vice - Presidencies, colleges and departments of the university, as well as the supportive deanships, community service, the financial development of the university, human resources, scholarship, training and various university projects.

For his part, Rector Al dawood said, "After the release of the University documentary book, the University entered a new field in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz al Saud, who used to cherish the university since the time he was the crown prince."

It is noteworthy that a number of the leaders of the region have received copies of the book.
