First International Conference on Applied Environmental Sciences Opens at the University with 47 Research Papers and 6 Scientific Sessions

Under the patronage of His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, the First International Conference on Applied Environmental Sciences (ICAES 2024) kicked off this morning, Wednesday, February 7, at the College of Applied Sciences in Muhail Asir.

 

The conference is being held from February 7-8, 2024, and is expected to attract over 1,000 participants from around the world. It will cover a wide range of topics related to environmental science including, (Environmental biology, chemical applications in preventing environmental risks, advanced nanomaterials for environmental applications, and computing and the smart environment). 

 

Advisor to His Excellency, and General Supervisor of the Colleges of Tihama, Prof. Ahmad bin Atif Al-Shehri, stressed the importance of environmental science in meeting the needs of society and future economies. He also highlighted the conference's focus on raising environmental awareness and finding solutions to environmental challenges.

 

Dr. Al-Qaed, for his part, spoke about the importance of research and publication in the field of environmental science. He also noted the conference's commitment to promoting scientific cooperation and exchange between researchers from around the world.

 

The ICAES 2024 is a significant event for King Khalid University and for the field of environmental science. The conference is a testament to the university's commitment to research and innovation, and its efforts to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
