University 6th Council Meeting
On Tuesday, the 31st of January and on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education,
His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, chaired
the 6th university council meeting for the academic year 1444AH, in the presence of the
Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh,
and the Council members.
The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research - Secretary of the University
Council - Prof. Hamid bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, explained that the council discussed a number
of topics and took the necessary recommendations. The council agreed to send, extend and
attach a number of teaching assistants and lecturers, appoint a number of university lecturers,
assistant professors, and associate professors, in addition to grant Masters and Ph.D. degrees
to a number of graduate students. The council also approved of sending a number of faculty
members on scientific communication missions to universities in the United Kingdom and the
United States of America.
The Council also recommended amending some executive regulations, forming the Student
Fund Council, approving the investment plan for the fiscal year 2023 and its estimated budget
alongside the annual report of the Audit Committee for the fiscal year 2022.
