The Launch of the University’s Workshop to Develop an Investment and Revenue Environment

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof.  Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Salami, inaugurated the “Developing  Investment and Revenue Environment  Workshop at King Khalid University”, which is organized by the General Administration of Investment at the University Agency of  Business and Knowledge Economy, with the participation of a group of specialists and those interested in the fields of economy and public and educational investment.

The Secretary-General of  King Abdulaziz University Endowments , Dr. Issam Kawthar, presented an introductory overview of the workshop, its objectives, and  mechanisms. The workshop revolved  around several topics, most notably the regulatory environment for investment in higher education  university, investment  opportunities, managing the transformation towards university investment governance and management,  the establishment of investment companies in the university, as well as identifying the most important paths and future investment opportunities at King Khalid University.

 

The workshop’s first day  included two talks that focused on promising investment opportunities at King Khalid University from the point of view of businessmen, as well as discussing steps to stimulate the private sector to invest in King Khalid University.  In addition  the workshop also review of   the  most important and prominent investment opportunities at King Khalid University to be discussed with the attendees and participants of the workshop which was presented by Dr. Ahmed Al Samah.

The workshop concluded its first day with a field visit to the investment sites in the new university city in Al-Qara'a.
