An investigation directed by the Asir Gov. Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz into hiring practices recently concluded. A complaint was lodged against Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Saad Alamri, and Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Fayea, as to their involvement in the decision not to hire an alumnus of our graduate programs. The plaintiff claimed that as a result of her protected status she was prevented from gainful employment. The investigation showed that the decision not to hire was made in accord with the rules and regulations of the university.

HRH Prince Turki ordered a meeting between all parties involved. All legal claims were waived on both sides of the camp and it ended amicably. HRH Prince Turki confirmed that every citizen has the full right to pursue his/her claim, noting that all efforts will be exerted to verify the authenticity of all claims.
