University President receives the people of Sarat Ubaida Governorate.
His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood received yesterday, in his office the Governor of Sarat Ubaida, engineer Ali Ibrahim Faqih. The Governor was accompanied by members of the local council in the governorate, who came to greet the President and to discuss a number of projects and matters relating to higher education in the province.
In the beginning of the meeting, the President welcomed everyone showing them the role the university could play through education, scientific research, and community service. Moreover, he appreciated taking care of the students in Sarat Ubaida Governorate so that they can contribute to moving forward the wheel of construction and development, which is being witnessed nowadays in our great country, believing that students also could contribute to enhancing the country locally and globally, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince - may Allah protect them all. Nowadays, Asir Province is witnessing an inclusive renaissance under the control of His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid.
On his part, Engineer Faqih also thanked the University President and showed his appreciation in all what the University introduces for the educational development in the region. He asked for the establishment of a college for boys in the governorate.
From another perspective, President Aldawood welcomed Abdul Aziz Al Mana'e - the professor of Arabic literature at King Saud University, and the Supervisor of "Almana'e" Chair to study the Arabic language and literature. The Professor is a guest visitor to the Department of Arabic Language, and Faculty of Humanities, from the 1st to 6th of Muharram 1436 AH. The visit will witness the conduct of a number of meetings, lectures through a variety of stances, reflections, analytical studies on some of the books and literary texts.
