University President sponsors Teaching Staff celebration

Under the auspices of King Khalid University, the president of the University Prof. Abdulrahman Bin Hamid Al-Dawood, sponsored the 2nd annual welcoming celebration for the new teaching staff. The event was held yesterday at the University City, Abha. Female teaching staff were welcomed too via video conference. 

His Excellency the University President welcomed the teaching staff and all others in attendance that have joined the university recently. The President called upon them all to keep on working hard in order to support the educational process of our dear country. He said, "I would like to inform you that you, the teaching staff, belong to one of the most prestigious Saudi Universities. This university occupies, thanks to Allah first, then to all our colleagues, a unique place, whether in the academic fields or in delivering community services."

The president thanked His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz, the governor of Asir region - may Allah protect him - for his unlimited continuous  support, in addition to his continuous follow - ups and directives.

Al-Dawoud also thanked the Deanship of Teaching Staff Affairs, and the Vice - President of the women section, for their desire to attract distinctive teaching staff who have recently joined the University. He said, "we are happy for you joining us, and it is my pleasure to keep in touch with you all as we dedicated a day of meeting the teaching staff in my office in order to listen to their suggestions that indeed will improve the University's output."

After that, the Dean of Teaching Staff and Employees Affairs Deanship, Dr. Abdullah Bin Hadi Al-Qahtani gave a word of thanks to the University President who honored the celebration by his attendance. He also thanked the University Vice - Presidents, Deans of Colleges, and heads of Departments for their continuous participation in such celebrations."

Activities marking the celebrations included some introductory presentations about the University, its vision, its mission and its most important objectives. Other presentations were on the university's facilities, colleges and departments.
