A delegation of the Shura Council visited the headquarters of King Khalid University in Abha to have a look at the university and its facilities. They were received by the Vice-President,  Dr. Mari Al-Qahtani, on behalf of the University President.

During the visit, a discussion seminar was held in which several questions were asked. The most prominent question of all was,  ”What are the most important reasons for the high percentage of female students enrolling at the university(70%), compared to the number of male students that does not exceed 30%?”.  During the discussion, they talked about the possibility of opening a College of Agriculture and another college for tourism due to the magnificent nature of the Asir region. Establishing such a college will reflect positively on the region and its youth.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Vice President, Mari Al-Qahtani, thanked the members of the Shura Council for honoring the University with their visit, and hoping for a repeat of such visits, which indicate the service of the homeland in its citizens and public interest.
