The University Endowment Project to Deliver a Positive Shift

His Excellency the University Rector, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, stressed that the University Awqaf Project will deliver a positive shift in privately sourced funds; he also expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid for approving the projects, which will contribute to the success and financial independence of King Khalid University.

In his speech, the University Secretary-General of the Awqaf Project, Dr. Omar bin Saeed Al-Mushait, related that the Supervising Council would hold its first meeting before the opening ceremony and discuss eight essential topics. They include the awqaf regulations, the administrative and financial structure of the project, the project's strategic plans, the project council, the funds and executive authority for the projects, as well as the adoption of the names and terms in reference to the proposed investment committee. The council includes a number of well-known socialites, people in business, and faculty members. They include Dr. Abdullah bin Mubarak Al-Ahmari, President of the General Court of Abha, Dr. Hassan Bin Mujib Al-Hawizi, Dr. Saad bin Mohammed Al-Jalban, Dr. Saeed Bin Dahman Al Dosari, Dr. Saeed Bin Mohammed Bin Zuhair, Dr. Abdulaziz Abdul Hadi Al-Qahtani, Dr. Hadi Al-Yami, Dr. Heef bin Mohammed bin Aboud Al-Qahtani. The University is also exceptionally represented by Prof. Dr. Saad Mohammed bin Dajjm, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Saad Abu-Melha, and Dr. Abdul Latif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi.
