Rector sponsors the 10th scientific meeting for Dentistry interns
Under the auspices of His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, the Dentistry school of the University has arranged the 10th scientific meeting for Dentistry interns. The meeting was held today morning in the University City in Abha.
Upon his arrival, Rector Al Solamy was briefed on the distinguished scientific posters, which were selected out of 47 types of research that were provided by the male student of the 14th and 15th group and by the female students of the 2nd and 3rd group; 24 research provided by male doctors and 23 by female doctors.
After that, the Rector honored the doctors who achieved the first three places in each group. Winners were selected according to specific criteria that were determined by the college's scientific committee for research. The Rector honored also the faculty members and the research supervisors.
For his part, the Dean of the Dentistry School, Dr. Ibrahim Al Shahrani thanked the Rector for attendance. Dean Al Shahrani pointed out that the Rector's attendance reflects his ongoing encouragement to scientific research in the university as he- the Rector- was keen on the students' participation in the event.
It is noteworthy that the Dentistry School has a high-quality infrastructure, including clinics and labs, in its two branches, male and female. In details, 205 clinics for male and 121 clinics for female were equipped. Clinics were provided with needed labs that help in training doctors before clinical treatment. In addition, the Dentistry School has taken care of training its students, male and female, on the most modern treatment methods.
