University signs an agreement with Khamis Mushayt municipality.

In a move to serve the public interest and the needs of the community of advisory services, the King Khalid University (KKU) Vice - President for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al - Hassoun, has today, sponsored the signing of an agreement between the Engineering Consultancy Office of the university and the municipality of Khamis Mushayt. The aim of the agreement is to support the idea of mutual training, such as the training for the students of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as to enable the two parties to take advantage of the technical potentialities, such as academic laboratories, materials, equipment, and supplies. Moreover, the agreement empowers officials of the two organizations to organize scientific seminars and meetings in a manner that does not affect the schedules of the educational process at the university.

During the signing of the agreement, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Filqa, represented the University, while Mayor Ali bin Saad bin Makhfoor, represented the Municipality of Khamis Mushayt. The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering explained that the agreement was in the public interest and the needs of the community of advisory services that were provided by the Office. He said, "Several coordination meetings have been held between the experts of both parties to outline joint cooperation as a road map, not inconsistent with law and regulations that control governmental sectors and the faculty Advisory Bureau in this regard".
