A book documents the achievements of the university in all educational, scientific, research, and societal respects.

King Khalid University (KKU) has recently issued a 200-page book to document achievements and development that have been achieved by the University. The achievements included all the educational, scientific, research and service areas since the reign of King Khalid - may God bless his soul - up to the present era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. On 26/08/1396 AH, the branch of the Islamic University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud was founded. It was the first College under the name of the Faculty of Sharia and Arabic language and it included the departments of law and the Arabic language.

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood said, "Through this version, the University entered a new track in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, who has never forgotten King Khalid University since the time he was the Crown Prince. The University greatly benefited, and it is to date, benefiting from his interest and special follow-up." President Al dawood added, "Support and interest of the King has been unwavering leading to the university reaching a level it deserved under King Salman's directives, and supported by the Crown Prince who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, in addition to the support provided by the Deputy Crown Prince who is also the Minister of Defense, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz.

The 200-page book contains historic details of the beginnings of the university, the beginning of higher education in Asir, the expansion and extension, the university Vice - Presidencies, the faculties and departments of the university, in addition to the supportive deanships, community service as well as the financial development of the university. Also detailed highlights included the human potentials, the scholarship and training programs, as well as the various projects of the university.
