The purpose of the course was to enable faculty members who could not speak the Arabic language to speak and write it properly.
The ceremony began with a word by Prof. Syed Saada Allah, which was on behalf of the trainees. In his speech, Saada Allah thanked the Rector and the holders of the course. He said, "We benefited a lot from this course. Now, we are able to communicate with other staff and students of the university, and we are happy because we are talking in Arabic - the language of the Holy Quran."

For his part, the Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Mubarak Hamdan gave a word in which he thanked the audience. He explained that the Deanship assumed a great responsibility towards the development of Arabic language, so the university cared a lot to organize that course. He said, "conducting this course was directed by the Rector in order to provide an opportunity for the faculty members to learn the Arabic Language for free." Hamdan further clarified that the course was just a beginning for a number of courses that the Deanship intended to set up in the future.

In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Yahya Al-Sharif, stated that the number of the trainees in the course was around 100. He said, "the remarkable turnout at this course added on us new zeal that makes us care more about our language and about preparing the trainees to be ambassadors of the Arabic language - God willing - when they return to their countries."

It is noteworthy that the Department of Arabic language, the Council of the Faculty of Humanities, and the University Council have approved establishing an Institute to teach the Arabic Language to the non-Arabic speakers soon.
