University participates in a workshop on the 7th Medical Profession Day in Taif.

On Tuesday 3/2/2015 AD, King Khalid University, represented by the Faculty of Medicine participated in the exhibition and events of the 7th Medical Profession Day. The exhibition was organized by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Taif, and it was held over three days. The venue was the celebrations Hall of the Intercontinental Hotel in Taif. The forum's aim was to inform the students of faculties of Medicine and recently-graduated doctors in the Kingdom about the recruitment opportunities available to them, plus selection of medical specialties that are appropriate for their rehabilitation, inclinations and aspirations. Moreover, the forum intended to show the opportunities for available postgraduate and clinical training in order to qualify them academically and professionally, whether inside or outside the Kingdom.

The delegation of the University consisted of nine students, who presented the vision, mission and goals of faculty of Medicine of King Khalid University. The visitors also watched a presentation about the university hospital in the University City, Al Farah, which is actually qualified to serve all medical specialties with a capacity of 800 beds.  The delegation participated in a workshop entitled "How do you choose a medical specialty?".

 It is noteworthy that the activities of Profession Day witnessed the participation of a number consultants from within and outside the Kingdom. They gave a number of lectures and specialized training courses, which included a number of diverse themes related to the medical field and job skills. In addition, many Saudi universities, hospitals and health sectors participated in the events, and offered job opportunities available in their agencies.
