A delegation from Albaha University visits Academic Development and Quality Deanship.

The Deanship of Academic Development and Quality of King Khalid University hosted a delegation from Baha University. The visit was for strengthening cooperation between the deanship and its counterparts in other Saudi universities. The delegation included the Dean of Academic Development and Quality in Al baha University Dr. Ahmed Hamad Al Dulaimi. Others with him were Dr. Bandar Al-Zahrani, and the Director of Administrative Development, Mr. Saeed Ahmed Al-Ghamdi.

The meeting started with an overview of the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality of King Khalid University on the level of achievements in the field of quality activities, in addition to the Developmental calendar project which includes 6 academic programs. Moreover, the attendees reviewed the follow-up to the activities of the units of development and quality of various faculties of the university, and a review of the national bodies which these units mobilize annually in the light of the codified scientific criteria. They also reviewed the external and internal training activities organized by the deanship, as well as the efforts made in the completion of the Strategic Plan of the University. Next, they reviewed the rest of the units of the University, which are currently being implemented in collaboration with Meras consultancy firm. Finally, the Deanship also displayed its experience in implementing the previous rounds of King Khalid University Excellence Award, as well as the professional development program for lecturers and teaching Assistants.

The Vice - Dean of Academic Development and Quality Dr. Saeed Hadi showed the latest achievements of the Deanship and the current efforts in the framework of academic programs and curriculum development, according to the defined criteria  in the guidebook of preparation and development of plans and study programs for the undergraduates at King Khalid University - the criteria was earlier adopted at the University. The Vice - Dean also spoke about the committees that have been formed at colleges, and at academic departments levels, at the faculties of the university so as to make the required adjustments in accordance with the standards adopted in the guidebook, or to propose new programs and courses to be adopted in the light of those standards, and  or to follow those defined procedures to get them reviewed by a main Committee in the deanship.
