During the first semester of the current academic year (1435 / 1436 AH), the Faculty of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals of King Khalid University conducted a number of educational development activities for its teaching staff.

The conducted activities included enrichment programs for lecturers and teaching assistants, and special programs for e-learning unit. The Faculty aspired through these educational activities, to provide two special programs for lecturers and teaching assistants: the first is the quarterly meeting program, and the other is for the lecturer's scientific and cognitive construction.

These programs are an extension of the programs held by the college which are directed to its teaching staff to activate communication with the college Deanship, as a way of discussing the college's development and issues. Moreover, these programs complemented previous programs that targeted the teaching staff, such as the program of a meeting of all college teaching staff, plus two programs for new members - especially those who are contracted from neighboring Arab countries.

Conducting such programs proved the college's keenness on the optimal use of technology in learning in order to achieve the mission of both the university and college; optimal application of knowledge technologies, plus providing new members with what they need in this area.

On this issue, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and the Religion Fundamentals Prof. Ahmed bin Humaid stated that the college was always working on the rehabilitation of teaching assistants and lecturers, with emphasis on identifying tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them, especially as they represent the future and the backbone of the university. He further said, "These enrichment meetings were held twice consecutively due to the successes the college has achieved from the first meeting. It had a clear impact on teaching assistants' interaction with their departments, and on the completion of their studies through internal or external scholarship." Bin Humaid also thanked the University President, who stood behind every achievement of the College by his support and encouragement, in addition to helping the college to overcome all difficulties.
