Acting University President Attends International students’ Eid Al-Fitr Ceremony

King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Students’ Affairs and in cooperation with the General Administration for International Students, organized the annual Eid Al-Fitr ceremony 1445. The ceremony highlighted the university’s great interest in developing integration and cultural vitality in its academic environment. It was sponsored and attended by His Excellency, the Acting University President, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, alongside the Dean of the Deanship for Students’ Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Mosfer Al-Qahtani and the Supervisor of the General Administration for International Students, Dr. Mohammad bin Moferh Al-Morie. The ceremony was held at the Exhibition and Conference Center in Al-Fara’a University City. 

To commence the ceremony, the University President extended his congratulations to the international students on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. He explained that such meetings enrich communication, as international students represent a vital part of the university. He added that King Khalid University champions and celebrates its guests and the guests of the kingdom, and praised the efforts made by the students, affirming his appreciation for their cultural and academic contributions. 

Bin Dajam said, “the university cares about holding these meetings to deepen the values of integration amongst the students, reflecting the positive spirit we hold proudly”. He pointed out that the university has become a platform for ambition, passion, and knowledge, and a destination for students from all around the world, noting that the university is home to over 2500 students from 85 different countries. 

The international students expressed their pride and joy, affirming the special care and support they receive at the university and the kingdom, alongside the generous training and educational opportunities that reflect the kingdom’s efforts to achieve sustainable development in various countries. 

It is noteworthy that King Khalid University recently announced admission through the “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform. Admission is open for international students in three programs until 25 June 2024. Programs include Associate Diploma for Qualifying Teachers of the Arabic Language to Speakers of Other Languages, Language Preparation Program (remote), and the Arabic Language Teachers Qualifying Program. These efforts will contribute - God Willing - to the University Strategy 2030, and Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
