Announcement of change period (Internal-External)

for the first semester of the academic year 1435/1436 AH

First: External Change (male/female students):

Deanship of Registration and Admission announced External Change Period for the first semester of the academic year 1435/1436 AH, which will start -God Willing- through KKU portal on Saturday 2/8/1435 AH to Thursday 14/8/1435 AH.

Mechanism of External Change:

- The student must apply the change request through (External Request service) on KKU website during the period above. The student must follow-up the request through KKU portal.

- After filling out and printing the form of external change, the student must bring the required documents to the Deanship of Registration and Admission (Quraiqer Campus, Building D)

- The female student must fill out, print and bring the required documents to the Vice Presidency of Female Students' Affairs (Lasan Campus, Techers College Previously).

- The student will receive text message (the result of the Change Request) starting from Sunday 9/9/1435 AH.

General Conditions for External Change :

  1. The student must be Saudi or from Saudi Mother and registered in governmental Saudi University.
  2. The student must finish the preparation year (if there is) and choose a specialization.
  3. All the requests will be studied according to the capacity of the specialization or department. The differentiation between students is according to their GPA.
  4. The student must finish more than two semesters and less than four semesters.
  5. The total commitment to the time and the place of the change in the University.
  6. The student must pass any test that the college or department require (if there is)  
  7. Total commitment to the minimum rate of External Change which requires not less than the lowest rate for the Internal Change.
  8. In the case of admission the request as a humanitarian (necessary) case (according to the guidelines of the competent committee), the committee determines the Degree, College, specialization and type of study as it deems appropriate to the student situation.
  9. All the applications will be studied according to the capacity of the college, department and specialization. The differentiation between students is according to their GPA.
  10. In addition to the general conditions above of External Change. The academic students who wish to move to King Khalid University should  fulfill the minimum regulations in the schedule below:

Required Documents:

   - Change Form certified by the Deanship of Registration and Admission with name of the students on it.

   - Academic Record (two certified copies) for the second semester of the academic year 35/1436 AH.

   - A copy of the secondary school.

   - A copy of the ID.

Second: Internal Change (male/female students) (in main campus and others campuses):

Deanship of Registration and Admission announced Internal Change Period for the first semester of the academic year 1435/1436 AH, which will start -God Willing- through KKU portal on Thursday 25/10/1435 AH to Monday 29/10/1435 AH.

Note that: this announcement includes only BA students in the evening.

Mechanism of Internal Change:

The student must apply the change request through (Internal Request service) on KKU website during the period above. The student must follow-up the request through KKU portal.

This change includes the following:

  a- Change the types of study and it includes the following:

  1. Changing from regularity to affiliation or vice versa for theoretical specializations (female students). The female student apply the request through e-portal and choose the service (changing study type). Note that the required GPA to change from affiliation to regularity is ( 3 to 5 ) and the female student should finish more than two semesters and less than six semesters. But changing from regularity to affiliation has no conditions. The female student apply the request through e-portal and choose the service (changing study type).
  2. Changing from regularity second period (parallel education) to morning period or vice versa (female Students). The female student apply the request through e-portal and choose the service (changing study type). Note that All the applications will be studied according to the capacity of the college and students' GPA.

  b- Change scientific degree and it includes the following:

Changing from diploma to BA or vice versa. Changing from diploma to BA is required that the male students should finish four semesters and get (3.50 to 5 GPA) in all theoretical specializations. For female students, they should get (4 to 5 GPA) in the specialization of information systems only.bt chang changing from BA to diploma, the (male/ female) students apply the request through e-portal without any conditions.

  c- Change the specialization.

Changing the specialization from BA to other BA specialization or Diploma to other diploma, all the applications will be studied according to the capacity of the college and students' GPA. 

General Conditions for Internal Change :

  • Changing is only once between colleges and twice between college's departments.
  • All the applications will be studied according to the capacity of the college and students' GPA.
  • The student must finish more than two semesters and less than four semesters (in medical colleges, they should he/she should finish all the courses of first year).
  • The total commitment to the time and the place of the change in the University.
  • The student must pass any test that the college or department require (if there is)  
  • For internal change from scientific specializations to medical and health colleges, the percentage of admission -God willing- will be as following:
  • For the colleges of Medicine, surgery and dentistry, the admission will be 10% with some conditions.
  • For the college of Pharmacy, the admission will be 15% with some conditions.
  • For the college of Applied medical sciences, the admission will be 20% with some conditions.

The Deanship of Registration and Admission will announce any updates about Internal and External Change and wish success for everyone.
