University Participates in 2023 World Civil Defense Day Activities
His Excellency the King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, inaugurated the Educational and Awareness Programs for the 2023 World Civil Defense Day at the University City in Al-Fara’a.
Al-Solami, emphasized the necessity of strengthening the awareness-raising role of the university's staff and students, in order to achieve safety, stressing the need to take advantage of the training sessions the university offers in this direction and to be knowledgeable about safety systems and methods.
In the same context, King Khalid University, represented by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, took part in the Civil Defense in Asir's Awareness Exhibition, which was held at the Al-Rashid Mall in Abha and featured a number of regional organizations.
According to Ali bin Abdullah Al-Ahmari, Director of Occupational Safety and Health Administration at the University's General Facilities Department, the university exhibition featured a number of educational corners about safety systems in addition to handing out leaflets, putting on educational visual presentations, and offering training sessions through the university's pavilion.
It is worth noting, that World Civil Defense Day is held this year under the slogan "Safety is a Goal and a Prevention".
