New General Risk Management Administration Formed
His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, launched the General Risk Management Administration, which aims to develop a comprehensive model framework to prevent risks. It also aims to prepare for risks and emergency cases in the university, serving to create a safe environment. Dr. Nasser Mansour will serve as the General Supervisor of the Administration in addition to his current duties.
Through the administration, the university will provide a safe learning environment. This underscores the strategy to enhance the university's ability to both prevent risks and face them as necessary. Key elements of the plan also include the activation of a monitoring system, which will warn of threats before they occur. Dr. Nasser explained responsibilities will include but are not limited to preparing and developing a strategic plan for risks and prevention, preparing a guide for expected risk procedures, preparing a record of the risks, and providing training assistance in regards to the application of safety and security regulations.
Of noteworthy mention, the organizational structure consists of the four sections as follows:
- Administrative and Financial Risks Department;
- Technical Risks Department;
- Intellectual and Knowledge Risks;
- Emergency and Disaster Risks.
