Pharmacy Career Day

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, and the College of Pharmacy hosted "Pharmacy Career Day". This event took place at the Chamber of Commerce in Abha. A number of health-related government agencies participated in the event. The activities included lectures, workshops, career guidance, and a job fair.

Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad Du'ajim, served as the master of ceremonies. Dean of the Pharmacy College, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sayari, and many students and members of the public attended the event. At Pharmacy Career Day, the university announced a number of new health sector collaborative initiatives with: Abha Chamber of Commerce, Abha Private Hospital, Saudi German Hospital, Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals Company, Al-Dawaa Medical Company, Al-Nahdi Medical Company, and Khamis Mushait General Hospital. There were also a number of exhibitions relating to careers in pharmaceutical sciences.

Dr. Abrar Thabet, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at King Abdulaziz University and Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharhan, Director of the Residency Program in Intravenous Nutrition at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, gave introductory lectures on career opportunities. There were also workshops on resume writing and job interviewing in collaboration with "NUSANED" one of SABIC's initiatives to achieve Vision 2030.

Vice Rector Du'ajim expressed his gratitude for the College of Pharmacy for the efforts in organizing the event and the Chamber of Commerce for hosting. He also thanked all the participating government health authorities. At the end of the Event, he honored the participants, training centers, participating entities, and hosts.
