University Hosts Census 2020 Training Program

King Khalid University launched a training program in support of the year 2020 national census. Present at the launch of the program were: Vice Secretary-General of the Asir Emirate, Local Committee Census President, Mr. Mohammed bin Nasser bin Lebdah, and King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Faleh Al-Solamy, at the main campus central auditorium.

Asir Census General Supervisor, Mr. Ayed Al-Amri, briefed the audience on the purpose and fundamental mechanics of the census, which will be conducted under the supervision of the General Authority for Statistics. He noted that the census is vital for national planning purposes and that the effort begins on the 17th of March. The training program had 200 participants and included several lectures and workshops. The program also detailed how census takers will collect current, relevant and accurate information from the public using the latest information management technologies.
