King Khalid University, represented by the Department of Anesthesiology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushait, observed World Anesthesia Day, which ranks as one of the most significant events in the history of medicine, at Al-Rashid Mall in Abha. The awareness campaign was inaugurated by College of Applied Medical Sciences Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sabaani, in the presence of Anesthesia Department Head, Dr. Haitham Khaled, and a number of volunteers and faculty members.

The campaign included a brief introduction to the field of anesthesia and medical stages of the process in an exhibition that displayed the history of anesthesia. Also displayed were the medical procedures, tools, and the most prominent techniques and methods currently used in field.
