King Khalid University Signs Cooperative Agreement With Aba'aa Association

King Khalid University signed a cooperative agreement with the Aba'aa Association on Friday evening during the closing ceremonies of the National Olympiad for Orphans. Vice Rector of Business and Knowledge-Economy, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hadithi, represented the university while General Director Dr. Saad Al-Amr represented the association. The agreement memorializes the parties' intentions to cooperate in many scientific and social projects spanning a variety of fields and disciplines.

The Director of the Aba'aa Association delivered a speech in which he thanked Governor of Asir, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, region for his patronage and support. Then the Director noted that the Olympiad attracted more than 200 students and 15 orphan associations from around the Kingdom. In addition, the event required the aid of 28 supervisors, 52 committee members, and 38 volunteers. Director Al-Amr paid special tribute to the family members of the armed forces defending the Southern Border and guaranteed the Association's continuing support for military families. The audience watched a short film on the making of the Second Olympiad, followed by the awards ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, the Undersecretary of the Emirate of the Asir Region honored the competitors and all of those who made the Olympiad possible.
