The Corporate Governance Center at King Khalid University in cooperation with the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) organized an introductory lecture on the authority delivered by Assistant Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Aqeel. The meeting was conducted in the presence of the director of the governance center, faculty members of the accounting department, and students.

The meeting started with a speech delivered by the Director of the Center of Corporate Governance at the University, Prof. Meri Al-Habash. Prof. Al-Habash welcomed the Assistant Secretary-General and thanked the Authority for accepting the invitation and for collaborating with the department. Prof. Al-Habash thanked the students for their attendance and interest, noting that the lecture is of great benefit to the students.

Dr. Mohammed Bin Sulaiman Al-Aqeel briefed the attendees on the authority's establishment, functions, achievement, its role in the development of the profession of accounting in Saudi Arabia, and the techniques of fellowship testing and test dates. He also explained the process of granting a fellowship and the job opportunities offered both in private and government sector.

This was followed by a Q/A session with the department faculty members and students. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Al-Aqeel received an appreciation note from the Director of the Corporate Governance Center.
