King Khalid University Graduates its 21st Class: Governor of Asir to Preside Over Ceremony

His Royal Highness, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Asir Region, will preside over the university graduation ceremony. This will be the 21st graduating class of King Khalid University in which 13,450 students will receive their respective degrees. The ceremony will be held at the Prince Sultan Sports City facility in Mahala.

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, is looking forward to joining His Royal Highness in celebrating our students' accomplishments. His Excellency has, on behalf of the entire university community, offered his advance congratulations to everyone in the graduating class for a job well done. 'It will be an honor to share the brief moment in which these young people leave KKU behind to take their next step on life's journey. Their college careers required hard work, diligence, and sacrifice. I'm sure that there will be many more challenges ahead. I am confident that the university has helped every new graduate develop the tools to overcome adversity while remaining faithful servants of Islam and proud citizens of the Kingdom. These soon to be alumnae are a critical part of our national pride and future development', he said.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Bin Du'ajim also congratulated the students as they prepare for their joyous graduation. 'The graduation ceremony represents the culmination of our students' many years of hard work. We look forward to celebrating their achievements with them and their loved ones. We will be sad to see them go, but happy knowing they are off pursuing their dreams' he said.

Dean of Admissions, Dr. Abdulmohsen Algarni, provided some interesting factoids about our 21st graduating class. The new graduates represent 29 colleges and more than 80 different academic programs. There will be 11,358 bachelors degrees awarded, while 1,588 graduates will receive associates diplomas. The Dean of the Deanship of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Faea, reported that 457 masters degrees will be conferred, and that 47 students will receive a Ph.D. in various fields.
