Modern Methods in the Design of Pharmaceuticals Symposium

The Saudi Group of American Society of Pharmacists (AAPS - Saudi Discussion Group) at King Khalid University held a scientific symposium entitled 'Modern Methods in the Design of Pharmaceuticals'. The symposium was held under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Al-Ghazwani and witnessed guests from King Saud University, Jazan University, and King Khalid university faculty members, researchers, and students.

The symposium included scientific lectures delivered by specialists and professionals from participating universities as well as the participation of students. Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saeiri, welcomed and thanked the participants. He explained the importance of symposiums and conferences in the development of the field of pharmacy and the field of health care. After that, Dr. Al-Ghazwani presented a brief summary of the programs and activities offered by the association to Saudi universities.

Dr. Yahya Al-Hamoush, Pharmacology Expert and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, King Khalid University, presented a lecture entitled 'Delivery of Hydrogenic Injection Drugs'. Dr. Mohammad Al-Qahtani, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceuticals at Najran University, presented a lecture entitled 'Holographic Printing in Pharmaceutical Preparations: Applications and Future'. This was followed by a lecture delivered by Dr. Mohammed Sultan Al-Qahtani, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jazan University, entitled 'Changing the Secretion Rate of Crystalline Insulin Using Injectable Molds'.

On the same note, Dr. Yousef Al-Abini, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy in King Khalid University, presented a paper entitled 'The Use of New Polymeric Nanomaterials to Deliver Eye Medication'. Following after, Dr. Osama Madhaki, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Jazan University, delivered a lecture entitled 'An Overview of Non-Viral Nanoparticles for the Delivery of Therapeutic Genes'.

From King Khalid University, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rashid, Assistant professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, presented a paper entitled 'The Crystallization of Effective Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Their Importance in the Pharmaceutical Industry'.

Dr. Mohammad Al-Ghazwani concluded the symposium by thanking the participants and attendees. He also thanked the university rector for his complete support and for hosting the symposium.
