175 Trainees in the College of Arts and Science in Khamis Mushait

King Khalid University's College of Arts & Sciences in Khamis Mushait Branch sponsored a series of faculty and staff training programs. These programs were developed by a collaboration between the Academic Development and Quality Unit and the Arabic Language Department. The 6 day series of events and seminars served 175 faculty members and staff.

One of the more prominent programs was 'Six Thinking Hats', presented by Dr. Sultana Al-Shahrani. This lecture explored creative problem-solving methods and management strategies. Dr. Shahrani encouraged the trainees to approach difficulties and obstacles from different perspectives in order to find optimal solutions.

Head of the Arabic Language Department Dr. Mowahb Ibrahim delivered a workshop on creative thinking skills. She discussed four elements of problem-solving: Creativity and mental processes, creativity tools, unlocking latent creativity and optimizing critical thinking skills.

Dr. Eman Omar delivered a lecture on teaching strategies and methods. She focused on the challenges in teaching higher education. She also presented a study regarding the effects of university environments on teachers and teaching skills.

Dr. Rehan Mansour presented a workshop on proper Arabic sentence structure. This presentation was for non-native speakers in order to enhance their understanding of the Arabic language. Dr. Hanan Al-Kajm gave a lecture on the concept of time management and its importance to modern life. The program concluded with a workshop titled 'The Security of Language and the Origins of Official Reports' presented by Dr. Mawahb Ibrahim and Dr. Eman Omar on behalf of faculty members and administrative employees.
