His Excellency KKU University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, joined
university employees and students to watch the kingdom’s first match in the 2022
World Cup in Qatar in the University City auditorium in Al-Qar’aa. After the Saudi
team’s victory and outstanding performance His Excellency expressed his joy on the
win and congratulated the wise leadership, the Saudi nation, and all members of the
national team. He stressed that the Saudi team’s performance against the Argentina
team reflects the Kingdom's renaissance in various fields, including sports. In addition, a number of the university faculty members alongside students expressed
their joy and pride of the national team's astonishing win in their first match against
Argentina in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Viewers of the match at the university auditorium praised the national team’s
technical level, describing the win against the Argentina team, which was one of
teams expected to win the world cup, as a positive indicator of the national team's
advancement in this 22nd edition of the World Cup.
