University Recorded More than 48 Hours of Volunteer Work

King Khalid University recorded high numbers in volunteer work during the recent period, where volunteer hours have exceeded 48 thousand volunteer hours, with nearly 600 volunteer opportunities, 25 thousand volunteers from the university, and 45 volunteer accounts available at the university, according to the statistics of the National Labor Platform.

The Dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education at the university, Prof. Omar Aqil, explained that one of the most prominent providers of volunteer opportunities at the university is the College of Computer Science, where it ranked first with 32,000 volunteer hours, followed by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education came in second place with 4,000 hours, in third place came the University Vice agency for Female Student Affairs with 3,500 hours, followed by the Deanship of Human Resources with 6000 hours.

In addition, the Director of the Department of Volunteering and Social Responsibility, Dr. Misfer Al-Asmari, said that this growth in volunteering statistics comes as a result of His Excellency the university president directions and support.
