His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, recently issued a decision to establish a Translation Unit, which follows the College of Language and Translation, and aims to enhance the university’s role in transferring knowledge and exchanging culture, in addition to highlighting the status of the Arabic Language in world civilization.

On his part the Dean of the College of Language and Translation Dr. Abdullah Al Melhi, explained that the university seeks through this unit to contribute to achieving the goals and expectations of Asir region development strategy, and spreading the original culture of Asir regions. He added that the unit aspires to enrich the translation content locally and internationally and highlight the Saudi identity.

It is worth noting, that the translation unit includes several departments, most notably the translation department from Arabic into other languages, the translation department into Arabic, in addition to the training and publishing department.
