Under the patronage of His Excellency King Khalid University President King Khalid university celebrated World Arabic Language Day. The event was organized by the University agency for Education and Academic Affairs in cooperation with the General Administration of Information and Relations. The event included various sections most notably a visual presentation of the university’s efforts in serving the Arabic language, in addition to a talk entitled “Arabic Language and Civilization Communication” presented by a group of university professors and students.

His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami said on the occasion ” When we speak of the Arabic Language, we speak of our religion, our identity, our prosperity and culture. Adding that when we celebrate World Arabic Language Day we celebrate the beauty, authority and eloquence of the Arabic language, a language he described as a tool that contributed to civilization and culture exchange.

Al Solami, commended the attention and care provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Arabic language. He added, "Perhaps this year in particular, you have noticed how the Kingdom, with the grace of Allah has become the center and engine of the most important activities and events related to the World Arabic Language Day, and how King Salman International center for Arabic Language is now a source of inspiration and publications that enriched world Arabic Language Day celebration content.

At the end of the event, His Excellency the President of the University honored the entities that contributed to the success of the event and thanked them for their efforts.

It’s worth noting, that the event witnessed a large number of attendees, and is part of a series of programs that lasted for a week.
